William ("Bill") Blake serves as President of the Board of Directors for The Lacassane Company. Bill graduated from Louisiana State University in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. Married in 1954 to Katherine ("Kay") Bel Krause. They have three daughters; Della, Susan and Marie, and seven grandchildren. Bill served in the United States Army in Panama Canal Zone from 1956-1958. Since that time, he has served (and is currently serving, in several cases) as President or Director of several entities including Howell Industries, Royal Land Company, Bel Oil Corporation, Urania Minerals, Bank One, Southern Forest Council and Calcasieu Real Estate and Oil. Bill served for six years as a member of the Louisiana Board of Regents, a governing body for all state universities. He is very active in the community and in his church. |
